The Saint Louis baseball team defeated the SIUE Cougars 7-5 Tuesday night at the Billiken Sports Center. It was the 208th game played by senior 2B Mike Levine at Saint Louis, a school record for games played.

Ray Chang Delivers Encore Performance
FUKUOKA, Japan -- If baseball ever evolves into a major sport in China, the nation's future ballplayers won't ever stop telling stories about Ray Chang.
Chang was the hero of China's first World Baseball Classic win back in 2009, and he delivered an encore performance in China's final game in the 2013 Classic with a go-ahead, two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning that propelled the Chinese to a 5-2 win over Brazil on Tuesday at Fukuoka's Yafuoku Dome.

As a rookie playing arguably the most demanding position on the field, Missouri State shortstop Eric Cheray had a rough introduction to college baseball. Five errors in his first 11 games had Cheray down, but not out.“ The beginning was a struggle, but I was kind of expecting it,” Cheray said. “You just have to constantly make adjustments and try to get better every day. “I think that I’ve been doing a pretty good job of that.”
Holovach Earns Big 12 Weekly Honor
Mizzou southpaw Blake Holovach (Overland Park, Kan.) has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon (March 26). The honor for Holovach is the first Big 12 weekly honor in his career and the second for the Tigers this season after Dane Opel (Edwardsville, Ill.) earned Big 12 Player of the Week following the Tigers' season-opening series win at Auburn.
Missouri pitcher earns Big 12 honors
Missouri pitcher Blake Holovach, a left-handed junior, has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. Holovach was the starter Saturday in the Tigers' second game of their Big 12 Conference series against Oklahoma State. He finished one out away from his second consecutive complete game, going 8 2/3 innings, allowing just one unearned run on five hits and two walks. He extended his shutout streak to 15.2 innings before the Cowboys scored an unearned run in the seventh inning of the Tigers' 4-1 win at Taylor Stadium. He struck out four batters.

For Oklahoma's Garrett Buechele and Cameron Seitzer, last year's trip to the College World Series was even more memorable because it was one of the few times their fathers -- both former major leaguers and current coaches -- were able to see them play.

Justis Logan Morrison (born August 25, 1987, in Kansas City, Missouri) is a Major League Baseball left fielder for the Florida Marlins and a Mac-N-Seitz alumnus. Entering the 2010 baseball season, Morrison is considered by Baseball America to be the #2 prospect in the Marlins farm system, and the #20th overall prospect.
